This is by far the best piece of work I have ever done. I finished last June and donated it to a friend who had an event in Napa Valley to raise money for the conservation of the Sierra Nevada.
Now you may ask, "why the heck is it called cowgirl? she ain't wearin' no hat!" Well, that's because this illustration was inspired by the electronic track "Cowgirl" by Underworld, featured in the movie Hackers. I have started a project of drawing illustrations inspired by different music, mostly trance because it is melodically illustrative on it's own, in my opinion. I drew this first, then went over my line work with Prismacolor markers for the circles as a base. I also used black marker and pen for the hair and the halo. Everything else is Prismacolor pencil. I hope you like, cuz I REALLY do!
I would like to take this moment as an opportunity to pat myself on the back for successfully drawing rust. (Although it could be better, lol.)
WOW.... Simply stunning. Love music that was your inspiration... That SDTK is awesome, have listened to that on and off for years, including when I do my own art work.... But yours really nice... even reminds me of the tv series Farscape
well, keep up the good work and kudos for donating to such a worthy cause!!!!!!!
